Longing for Spring during the cold winter months put Milou in my head. A light sweater in a fingering weight, Milou combines dainty lacy cables with a large travelling cable to create an eye-catching panel on the front. Oval cables run down the body to a seed stitch hem, while two repeats of lacy cables adorn the cuffs of the sleeves.

Construction

Milou is knit from the top down and is entirely seamless. The pattern includes instructions for a short hem and a wide, split hem, as well as for three-quarter length and short sleeves. Charts and written instructions are provided for the cabled front panel.

Size

XS/S (M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X) (shown in size XS/S).

Measurements

• Bust: 33.5 (37.5, 40.5, 44.25, 47.5, 50.5) inches / 85 (95.5, 103, 112.5, 120.5, 128.5) cm.
• Choose a bust size that is 0.5-1.5 inches (1.5-4cm) larger than your bust measurement.
• Length from shoulder: Long hem: 22 (22, 22, 23, 23, 23) inches / 56 (56, 56, 58.5, 58.5, 58.5) cm.
• Short hem: 19.75 (19.75, 19.75, 20.75, 20.75, 20.75) inches / 50 (50, 50, 52.5, 52.5, 52.5) cm.

Gauge

24 sts/32 Rnds = 4 x 4 inches in stockinette stitch after blocking.

• Fingering weight yarn, approximate yardage varies by sleeve and hem length.
• 29-inch US #5/3.75mm circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge.
• 1 set US #5/3.75mm double-point needles.
• 8 stitch markers.

Pink sweater: Araucania Ranco Solid [75% wool, 25% nylon; 376yd/344m per 100g/3.53oz skein]; color: fuschia; 2 (3, 4, 4, 5, 6) skeins.

Pattern Notes
